# Summary
This is a skilled position that tends several types of crushers that size materials such as rock, clay, and shale for industrial use or for further processing by performing the following duties.
# Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains crusher equipment. Cleans and lubricates equipment.
Must be able to move levers to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, or storage bins.
Starts crusher, and prods, breaks, or discards lumps to prevent plugging.
Adjusts equipment such as screens, conveyors, and fans, to control or vary size or grade of product, or to maintain uniform flow of materials.
Maintains time and material records necessary to complete daily job costing.
Recommends measure to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance.
Ensures safety of crew members and public who may interact at jobsite.

This job has some supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

# _Education and/or Experience_
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year crushing related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of all types of crushers (Jaw, Cone, Impactor).
Knowledge of screen plants.
Knowledge of specifications and material standards.
# _Language Skills_
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
# _Mathematical Skills_
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. .
# _Computer Skills_
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Order processing systems.
