Development Center team. This individual ensures cattle feed is properly mixed and distributed according to established procedures and maintains positive yard and equipment conditions. As a member of the team, you will be expected to provide general upkeep and cleanliness on the bullyard premises, and work to ensure all equipment is operational and maintained according to planned maintenance guidelines. Basic, low-stress animal handling will be used to handle Wagyu bulls for doctoring, testing, and animal movements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITIES Accurately mix and deliver feed using tractor and feed wagon Inspect equipment and perform minor repairs and maintenance as needed Maintain fencing, pens, and clean water tanks Keep the yard neat and debris free Clean and repair feed bunks Maintain and operate equipment used for feeding and yard maintenance Loader, skid steer, tractor and feed wagon Assist in achieving environmental objectives of bullyard Dust monitoring and subsequent adjustments Lagoon monitoring and maintenance Drainage monitoring Basic assistance in
health and handling Evaluating and treating ill and injured bulls Assisting the vet in semen/trich testing Ship, receive, and move bulls through bullyard Utilize various maintenance tools Acetylene torch Welding equipment Electric hand tools Hand tools Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS High - drive work ethic Self-starter mentality Teamwork and communication skills with ability to be transparent Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute Ability to sit, stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Willing to work outdoors; inclement weather conditions can be expected EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Welding preferred Heavy equipment operation preferred Knowledge of cattle, animal well-being, and commodities is preferred High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR minimum of two (2) years related experience/and or training Recommended Skills Commodity Market Communication Hardworking And Dedicated Heavy Equipment Maintenance Self Motivation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
